My complaint:

I made a purchase on DHgate. The next day the seller reach out to me and said they actually did not have the product I ordered and I should apply for a refund. No big deal, I applied for the fund. In doing so, I had to select a reason I was applying for a refund. I selected “item is out of stock”. The seller immediately reached out to me again and asked me to change the reason to “item is no longer needed”. Why would I do that? That’s lying! They made the mistake of selling an item they didn’t have I’m not going to lying and make it look like I changed my mind. So the seller told me would only approve the refund right away if I changed the reason. I refused to change the reason and now he won’t approve the refund. In the end I will eventually get my refund but he is going to drag this out as long as possible unless I change the reason. This is basically blackmail! I reached out to DHgate customer service and they were absolutely no help. They just kept telling me the seller had 7 days to respond. Well the seller had responded… he is just refusing to cooperate unless I lie for him.

Suggested solution:

I just want my refund. I don’t want to have to wait because the seller thinks it’s ok drag this out because I wouldn’t lie for him.
