My complaint:
At about 1am on March 8, 2024 my friend and I went to Denny’s in Del Mar , California. The host(who I assume is the manager) refused to seat us saying that he had on another occasion refused to let me in another time because I was not wearing shoes. I had only been to that particular Denny’s on two other occasions and on both occasions, I was dressed very well and was wearing shoes.
I was extremely offended and surprised because he blatantly lied and was extremely rude and I felt totally humiliated. I don’t know if the manager thought I was someone else, but his behavior was totally unacceptable. I would like to report his behavior to Denny’s corporate management and make sure he is not only reprimanded, but not allowed to work at Denny’s again.
I have been going to Denny’s all my life and have never been accused of anything like this especially when it was a complete lie. I believe he was discriminatory and his actions were completely unwarranted.
My friends and I will not be going to Denny’s again and are very disappointed.
Please take immediate action against this host/manager at Denny’s on Via de la Valle rd in Del Mar. He is very bad for your corporate image and is taking away from your business.
Suggested solution:
Immediate disciplinary action and termination of the individual host/manager in question.
