Cracker Barrel complaint: Worst service ever!

My complaint:

We arrived around 1:30 p.m. on July 23, 2021. We sat there and sat there watching a server walk by. I went to management and told him that we had been waiting for at least 15 minutes with no service. It took another 10 minutes for her to arrive at the table. Finally we placed our order. While waiting we ask for biscuits and cornbread. Got that and had to wait until she showed up again just to get silverware and napkins. Once our order arrived the baked potatoes were not cooked and so hard you could barely stick a fork in it. She did bring another potato that also was not done. We were just there a week earlier and the potatoes weren’t done then either. We are not ones to complain but this service was the worst ever. We went to the register to pay and when asked about our service, I explained what had happened and told her I knew that were definitely not short staffed. The cashier contacted management, which never came to the register to talk to me. The cashier did comp our meal. We aren’t about getting a free meal, we just want good quality service to go along with great food. This is one of our favorite family restaurants and have eaten here since they opened. We go regularly and would like to continue.

Suggested solution:

Servers need to be trained to speak to every table and at least let the customer know they will be right with them. Make sure silverware is on the table. Food should be checked before going to the floor. Management should be on the floor asking customers how their food is and how their dining experience is.
