My complaint:

I am a 39 year old Black American man and I was outright refused service in front of many witnesses when I went to the Circle K store by a woman named stacy who claimed to be the Circle K store manager at the 329 Derry rd, Hudson, nh 03051 location.

It was around 10am last Wednesday when I went into the store, went up to the cash register and requested to buy a pack of Marlboro cigarettes. I had my Active New Hampshire state drivers license in my hand but the cashier Stacy told me, I will not sell you cigarettes because black men don’t smoke Marboro brand of cigarettes so you must be trying to buy these cigarettes for someone else which is illegal

Wow – I was stunned and did not know what to say, I honestly thought that this cashier/ manager Stacy was joking with me, but she was not. She got very angry and told me if she sold me cigarettes her job would be at risk because black men don’t smoke…

This is not the first racial issue I have faced in the circle k store
do something about it or we will go to social media about stacy’s behavior next time she makes a racial comment

Suggested solution:

Circle K should care about customer and treat everyone regardless of race, color, religion or sexual preference exactly the same. There is no room in America for racial comments like the one made by the store manager at this location in front of over 7 customers
