My complaint:
I am the original owner of a 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche, this truck has 83,000 it is garaged everyday and in excellent maintained condition, but I have a complaint. The dashboard has a crack on the corner of the passenger air bag compartment as well as a crack that I now notice is spreading over the instrument panel on the driver side. I can’t understand how this could happen other than defective material. I am writing about this because in talking to other Avalanche owners, they are experiencing the same issue. I would like to know if Chevrolet is aware of this and if they can do anything to resolve this issue. I have the recall of the the airbag replacement of the passenger air bag which I am holding off on until I address this problem with corporate hoping they can do something about my dashboard at the time of bringing the truck in for the recall of the passenger air bag.
