My complaint:
On Friday, 20 January 2023, I purchased a Peppermint Dessert, packed inhouse. Upon opening the container at home, I discovered the product was mouldy.
Since the item cost only R12-23, I had no intention of returning it to the store. Further, I decided the problem could have occurred as a result of loadshedding, etc.
However, I then noticed that there were two stickers on the container, one over the other. I peeled back the top sticker and was shocked to see the original expiry date was 14 January and the original price was R19-99.
I assume the price was dropped to get the item sold but changing the expiry date is not acceptable.
I would appreciate your feedback.
Think you and regards
Suggested solution:
Original expiry dates should not be adjusted.
