My complaint:
The day prior I was quoted $300 for a 2 bedroom and 1 bath end of lease clean which included steaming carpets. When the day came, the cleaner told me he cannot do it at $300 as I was quoted before. Then we came to an understanding where they leave the walls out, the outside and the windows and I pay $350. Then the carpet cleaner came and requested his cut as well which was extra from the $350, when I asked the cleaner why he never told me about that he responded “it must’ve slipped my mind” so I explained to both of them that the cleaner gave me an inaccurate quote. I informed the cleaner and carpet cleaner that I refuse to pay more than $350, they started arguing with me and blaming me for not wanting to pay. If I new that the cleaner is separate from the carpet cleaner, then I would have told them they could leave as that was not the budget that was communicated from the beginning. This is irresponsible of them, I am 8 months pregnant and suffer from panic attacks and they did not seem to care. Cheap as chips needs to be more thorough and clear when giving out quotes and they need to think and hear the customers voice rather than just ignoring them. I also, spoke to a manager named Peter and he hung the phone up on my twice and not giving me a chance to complain. I want to write a formal complaint about him and how he treats his customers.
Suggested solution:
It is up to you how to resolve it but this is a big issue when customers are not being heard and ignored. I would like to escalate this matter to the headquarters of Cheap as Chips and I would like for future customers to be treated better than I was.
