My complaint:
I filed a dispute with cash app about a transaction on June 3rd for $90.40. I tried to stop the payment but they said there was nothing they could do until it was finished processing. So after the payment cleared I filed the dispute or at least that’s what I was told and advised that the company that owes the refund has 45 days to do their investigation or whatever. So at 54 days when I finally was able to get a hold of somebody after sending multiple emails and not getting anything back they tell me I need to send them all the information that I’ve already given them for the dispute again. So I do the only thing I do not have because the merchant refuse to give me it was a receipt but I clearly have a charge on my account for the price from that merchant and I called the day I was charged to try to stop the payment. It was for a hotel that we did not end up staying at and they refused to refund the money. We stayed the night before we were going to extend our stay the hotel went into our room and saw my partners diabetic supplies and automatically assumed we were junkies and doing drugs. They went through our things and they told us to leave the hotel or they were calling the cops. This was all before 12:00 p.m.. they refused to listen to anything we had to say they assumed we were doing drugs which is not true and would not give us a refund. Cash app is making it very difficult to fight this. Since I had started the process now almost at 2 months when I was told originally 45 days now they are just starting but telling me if I don’t have the receipt there’s nothing they can do. I’m a veteran, came down on hard times the hotel room was the roof over our head and when we were out $90 and not being able to get it back quickly it put us back really far and we ended up sleeping in my car for about 2 weeks. I hate cash app.

Get me my $90.40 back.
