My complaint:

My bank account information was compromised and $300 was taken fraudulently through Cash App in July 2020. I have never heard of Cash App until this incident. I filed a complaint with my bank and refunded the money. I also filed a complaint with the FTC and was told accounts were closed. However, months later I received an email from Cash App stating I needed to verify my banking information and the bank has taken the money back from me that was stolen out of my account. I downloaded the Cash App app and contacted support, did not put any banking information on there. I had to download the app in order to speak to someone, there is no other way, no phone number, nothing to speak to someone, which is not acceptable.I informed them my information was being used fraudulently and accounts with my information needed to be closed for fraudulent activity. , they pretty much said no. My issue is that my information is being used and they have no measures in pace to verify you are who you say you are. I have to give verify my identity in many different ways to open a bank account, apply for a loan, mortgage and so on. Why does this company not verify anything? How can they get away with letting this happen to people. I know a few others that have had these same issues.
