My complaint:
I bought a car through carvana. A 2017 Volkswagen jetta. I recieved my car with only 1 key, it was supposed to come with 2. Supposedly there is a 400 point inspection done to these cars. I was missing a piece of my intake manifold. I dont know any mechanic that wouldve missed that during a check off. Im not a mechanic and I noticed something missing in the engine bay, so how could they? My car broke down on me a day after I made my first payment. Which it is totally covered under warranty. I got myself a rental car thinking I would get my car back pretty quickly but that isnt the case.. my car had to get towed from a preferred mechanic to a Volkswagen dealership because the preferred mechanic couldnt handle the work. My problem isnt that my car is down and not working right now. My problem is that warranty wont cover my rental, they will only cover $40day. The cheapest rate I was able to find was for $92day. Carvana has agreed to send me a check for $300. I still dont have my car back and dont know when I will.Now I have an added expense for a rental car that I shouldnt even have. I was ranting and raving telling everyone to use carvana the process is so amazing. Customer service people are nice but when you ask to speak to a supervisor this lady Lakisha told me that her supervisor refused to talk to me. Im extremely disappointed. As a single father of 2 children I cant afford a rental car but I need a car to get to and from work. Im a small business owner living in rough times and I cant survive with making payments to a rental car that I shouldnt even have. Ive gone back and forth with carvana and silverrock warranty. There is a grey area that you guys need to look at. That being said im ashamed of the treatment ive gotten being a customer of a little over a moth. Its not fair to me that I have to pay for a rental car while my car is being repaired. Per Connecticut state laws if a car breaks with in 2 months of the sale it is covered under warranty. Usually when a car is being repaired under warranty you will recieve a courtesy vehicle from the dealership. I have to pay for my own rental and I will only be reimbursed a fraction of the cost.
Suggested solution:
I want a supervisor to reach out to me and talk to me. I want total rental coverage, as it is an expense that I shouldnt have. My car is covered under warranty and I cant afford to pay for a rental vehicle. I shouldnt have to anyways.
