My complaint:

I received a 2018 Mazda CX-3 on May 30th 2021. The car arrived with a dirty interior and instructions to have a VIN inspection completed. On July 12th the car was noticeably driving irregularly. Upon inspection, one tire was found to have bubbled up and lost structural integrity. Tires were then all checked and found to be severely overfilled. The recommended tire pressure was 36 PSI with a max of 51 PSI. All four tires were filled to 55PSI. After lowering the PSI and putting on the spare tire to replace the bubbled tire, the car was taken to be inspected. The repair shop wrote a report that describes all 3 of the remaining tires were worn down irregularly, are unsafe and need to be replaced. Carvana has denied the claim since we lowered the PSI before going to the mechanic and they say we should have continued to drive the vehicle in unsafe conditions to get the report to show the tires were overfilled. Despite sending in photos of the tire that was visibly structurally unstable and the mechanic detailing the irregular wear which is only caused by over inflation, the claim is rejected. Additionally, Carvana’s inspection checklist shows that the tires were checked by employees for correct PSI and also shows that a VIN inspection was performed. This company is dishonest. The inspection sheet was most likely skimmed over by a negligent employee since carvana had me schedule a VIN inspection myself, as they reported the VIN inspection was not done, to which I still have the inspectors information and paperwork on.

Suggested solution:

I would like Carvana to reimburse me for having to replace all 4 tires just over a month after delivery, when the tires were in good condition and not destroyed by being used while filled over the max PSI. They also agreed to reimburse me and then changed their minds since we did not continue to drive the vehicle with tires that were at risk of exploding.
