My complaint:

I purchased a car from carvana in December of 2021, I have put less than 3,000 miles on it and I started having horrible break noises so I took it into the shop to have it inspected and the mechanic said that the front brake pads were at 2 mm and the rear brake shoes were at 3 mm and both front rotors and rear drums need to be replaced also. Carvanas supposed inspection report on this car claimed the brake pads had a minimum of 5 mm on them and the drums and rotors passed inspection also but the mechanic said there is no way that the brake pads have worn down that much in just under 3,000 miles. So apparently carvana lies on their inspection report and sold me a car with safety issues. My whole experience with carvana was great but you would think at minimum they would replace worn out brakes before selling that car. They’re 90 day warranty does not cover wear and tear items but this comes down to them selling a car with safety issues to begin with.

Suggested solution:

It's unlikely they'll reimburse the cost of me having the brakes replaced but they need to make sure that their mechanics are actually inspecting the cars properly before selling them because this obviously was not done with this car and that is deceptive practices. If they want to continue being in business and not being sued out of business they should at minimum do the inspections they claim to do.

They definitely lie about that 150 point inspection. I had a vehicle delivered about 6 weeks ago that ended up in the shop on day 3 and couldn’t be repaired for over a week, so I opted to exchange it with another Carvana vehicle. They told me to get a rental vehicle until the new vehicle would be delivered. Then they delayed the delivery repeatedly so I had the rental for 35 days! And when the exchanged vehicle arrived from Carvana it reeked of cigarettes to a nauseating degree, oil change alert was on, service engine light was on, wasn’t… Read more »

My son purchased a Cadillac from Carvana the day it was supposed to be dropped off. He received a text message from the delivery driver stating that the four tires on the car were dry rotted and he could not drop the car off that way that totally goes against all the pre-inspection statements that Carvana says that they do however, they did put four brand new tires on the car. They supplied a Carfax to my son in regards to the car showing that the last time the oil was changed was in 2021 now in the Cadillac CTS.… Read more »
