My complaint:

A booking was made for a flight to Chennai, India for 2nd January 2021 and a PCR test was carried out on 29th December 2020. this flight was cancelled and a second booking made 14 days later to Hyderabad on 14th January 2021 which required another PCR test. The additional test cost £99 and the additional flight from Hyderabad to Chennai cost £155.10 which was missed on account of having to wait in the airport for the result of the PCR test done on arrival. After re-booking this cost an additional £173.14. So the cancellation by BA cost a total of £99155.10£173.14 £427.24.
There were additional costs related to the extended stay in London

Suggested solution:

I submitted a complaint in January and have heard nothing since then. They ed on the phone that reimbursement would be forthcoming for £99 to pay for the extra PCR test. I think they should also make a gesture to discount my next flight or put me in a first class cabin if empty to compensate for the extra £427.24. This would cost them nothing but would recognise the additional financial burden
