My complaint:
On way to Bolton I got messages from castle villas wanting my bank details for £1 insurance. No way I’m giving my bank details to just anyone. I offered to pay at the property n booking dot come have the messages between me n castle villas. They were not giving me access to the apartment until I gave them my bank details n so I ended up as a no show. But surely I had a right not to give my bank details to just anyone. The £1 insurance should be included in with the booking dot com price
Suggested solution:
Refund. I rang them. I waited the 6wks to ring ombudsman. They put me onto citizens advice n here I am. My booking was in march but I had to book another hotel that day n I don't see why I should have paid £51 for nothing basically
