My complaint:
I went to B.A (Bank of America) at the above-mentioned address, today(Approx, after 11am). I gave the gentleman my check Texas Driver’s License(07250485), after signing it in front of him. Then, I was told I was being charged an $8.00 service charge, since I didn’t have an account with B.A. I told him, I had an account wB.A. and that account number was on my check. I also asked him if he needed any other form of identification. He then asked for my telephone number, and I gave it. He also asked for my SSN and I gave it.
After waiting for some time, not getting my monies and knowing other people were waiting too (it appeared to me he ambivalent), I asked for help.
I told by the lady helper my side of the story. She stated that people had come-up with fake B.A. checks before. I didn’t know how to respond and wondered if other people would be put through the same tests as I was being put through.
I told the lady, I had been put through the same tests (12922) last week, with another teller and that never in my whole time with B.A. had I ever had such a hard-time, cashing a check .
I don’t know how your tellers pick-out people (I.E., Cherry-picking) for scrutiny, then begin charging them for services they don’t have to pay for? Again, this was the second time this was happening in 7 days.
People do get excited, when they feel unjustly scrutinized and perhaps, I did. But, at no time ,did I scream, holler or curse anyone of your staff.
I hope in the future, issues like this, can be rectified wo such complications for a long-time customer.
If you want my account number, its’ 566031880742).

Suggested solution:
I am asking that you train your tellers better., to stop telling long-time customers, they don't have an account with B.A., when they do. Then, they start charging them for services they don't have to pay for.
If indeed, as the other manager told me, that even if I provide you with a B.A. check, it could be a fake check Then you inform her that' you've provided your telephone and SSA , how else can I prove it's my account, besides providing more Identifications.?
