Argos complaint: Charged twice for an item that was voided on the till

My complaint:

I tried to purchase an outdoor storage box £138.20 from this branch on the 1.09.22 the order was placed and home delivery date agreed and then my pin number was entered for my bank card. The sale then voided and I was told not sure why this had happened. I then tried again with a different card and the same happened again.

At that point I left the store with no paperwork as the sales had voided,

The next day one of the cards had a pending payment from Argos i rang the bank and they cancelled it but said in the unlikely event this happened again I would need to obtain a refund from Argos,

The following day £138.20 was taken from each of the cards so I am £276.40 out of pocket.

I have contacted customer services who emailed Finance dept on the 4.9.22 still had no reply from them and the store contacted store support on the 10.9.22 who also sent all the details to finance.

I have had no response from finance you can’t contact them and I am a lot of money out of pocket through no fault of my own it is a disgrace how this is being dealt with.

Suggested solution:

Argos need to refund my money asap
