On July 12,2022, I went to Arco (3610 E Bell Rd Phoenix AZ 85032) to get a $100 gift card. Using my debit card I ran through machine. Jose, Cashier, was having trouble activating card, He suggested we try again. I was reluctant to run my debit card through again but did at the insistence of Jose. He said I was not charged so I tried a second time. Same thing. Jose could not activate card I now am out $200 plus $.70 debit card charge. Jose gave me the cash register receipts showing I was charged and gift cards that were not activated. Jose gave me the gift cards also but they are no good. Jose tried to call Manager but it was obvious on my end that the Manager did not have a clue. Jose told me to come back in 2 hours. Due to a medical condition I could not return at that time. I contacted my bank to have the charges reversed but they said they could not because it was a gift card transaction even though I did not get any gift cards. I telephoned Arco on July 21st. was told the Manager (Ron) was on vacation. Talked to Derrick, Assistant Manager, who said he would contact Manager and get back to me which he did not do. i telephoned Arco on July 22nd and was told Derrick was not there and neither was the Manager. I was told Manager would be there tomorrow July 23rd 6AM to 2PM. I am obviously getting the run-around. I want my money. I do NOT want any gift cards.
