My complaint:
We visited Applebees on Seventh Street NYC on 4th December. I left my $400 sunglasses on the table by mistake and left. When noticing the sunglasses were not in my bag the next day, we returned to the restaurant. The greeter told us they had be found and would probably be in lost property and that she would go and ask the waiters who were on duty when we had visited. We noticed the greeter speaking to one of the waiters who were on duty both looking very worried. We were then left for 30 mins being totally ignored by every member of staff who walked by as we were in the reception area.At this point we were confused as the sunglasses had been found, they just had to be handed over but this was being drawn out. Nobody bothered to update us until we asked the greeter again. She said Im not sure where they are, and proceeded to look reluctantly through lost property. We were then told that actually they had never been found. I think its clear to see what has happened here.
I would like to request CCTV footage for the day we visited.
Your employees are liars and thieves.
This was our first time visiting NYC and Applebees and this is the experience we have been met with.

CCTV of the event, employee fired and refund for the item stolen from me.
