My complaint:

Upon arrival at SeaTac on 811 we were told the flight to Chicago was delayed and we would not make our connection to Cedar Rapids. The staff at the gate said they could not get us a hotel, but we could sleep in the airport (with a child with autism) and try the flight again the next day. Obviously that was not an option. Then gate staff sent me to a gate that had a flight to Minneapolis and sent my husband and son to a gate for Detroit on Delta. At the Delta gate, they told my husband they had no seats left for the flight. They headed back to Alaska and suddenly two more seats opened up on the flight to Minneapolis. But not together. Again, not realistic with autism. In the end my husband was able to sit behind our son, but we landed in Minneapolis and they had no flights left to Cedar Rapids. We ended up renting a car for $304.00 to drive the four and a half hours to grandma’s house to get there for her birthday.
We would like the cost of the rental car and the $21.00 in gas refunded to us. We are happy to provide receipts.

Suggested solution:

Please refund us the $304.00 car rental $21.00 in gas for the flight that was cancelled. Receipt below.
