My complaint:
While I will always vote republication, I cannot stop the 4 to 6 emails I get a day. This must be based on my donation last year. Texting is important to me and it is filled with junk email I will be very careful to donate through a web site as they mined my phone number and I now feel harassed. Some of the request for donations are far from polite or professional; almost threatening. I erase all text, but I have three devices that receive my text, so I have not sent you a copy, but no doubtedly will have a new one shortly. DO not sell my information under any circumstances.
Suggested solution:
Stop all texting for various canidates. Did they sell my phone number?
The abusive texting from the WIN RED database has me so frustrated that I am about to throw my phone out the window. Do these politicians have any idea how pissed off they are making me? I mean really??? This HAS TO STOP!!!!!
The same thing is happening to me. I can’t stop them, no matter how many times I reply STOP, I keep getting them
I made the mistake of donating to a senator through winred and now I can’t get all these texts to stop. I am so sick of this and I will NEVER donate to another candidate. I hope to heavens I don’t have to change my phone number but I am getting to that point.
I have the same issue here, donated to a candidate and now get requests for donations all the time. This is hurting the Republican Party so it must be from a Democrat operative or a RINO who does not care about their donors. Changed my contact phone number and that helped ease the amount of spam but still get one a day. WinRed totally sucks and I will never, never donate to a candidate again. You see WinRed makes a % of the donation, they have motivation to sell your information to others because they profit from it.
I called WinRed and they deny any involvement in these texts, which can also be insulting. Their name is always listed at the bottom and also a disclaimer that they don’t represent any specific candidate.
But still, they claim that they have no power to stop the texts from continuing. I don’t believe a word of it, but I can’t locate any resource that can stop them.
I had a bit of success by texting STOP ALL to 80810. The texts have at least slowed down. I’m cancelling my voter registration. I hope that ends the madness.
