My complaint:
I attempted to purchase under $100 worth of groceries. To my surprise, the cashier rang up $895 which was declined. The accountant cash register came to assist. She placed key in drawer to override and asked me to insert again. After two failed attempts, the third attempt was successful. To date, I have $575 pending in my account which has been there for four days now. My bank said there was nothing they could do until the pending status is removed then we can launch an investigation. Wegmans employees tried to cover up the scandal. Contacted corporate, still no contact. Filed online complaint, still no contact. I am out of $575 to date. I will never shop at this store again. This all happened at the Woodmore location in Lanham Maryland.
Suggested solution:
Reverse charges immediately. Investigate employees who tried to swindle me out of money and tried to cover it up.
