My complaint:
I was referred through the Holman Recovery Center to the housing/ moving assistance program at the VOA. I was approved per the VOA employee named Angela for this assistance back on June 14th. Angela told me I simply needed to find a place to rent, have that renter complete a W9, a lease agreement and I haver emails, text messages and voice mails that have spam over the last 3 months ensuring me and my new landlord that payment was on its way. My 9 year old daughter and myself are now being evicted as no payment has ever arrived and getting a straight answer from Angela is next to impossible. I can provide proof that all the above is true and accurate. I cannot believe this kind of thing can occur without consequences. I pray you can help assist in making sure this doesn’t Bastien to anyone else.
Suggested solution:
They should issue the $5,000 payment as promised to the land lord and should have to help find me emergency housing as my 9 year old and I are now homeless.
