I ordered food while i was at a resort with family and was told that no drivers were nearby to pick up the food. Instead, i was told by the restaurant to cancel the order which i did! But was not informed there would be a cancellation fee since the food was already prepared, but in this case, why pin it on the customer if there are no available drivers to accommodate the delivery!!! FYI this was a birthday party that I ordered this food for and had to be delivered to a resort. They should have not offered to make any orders from Uber Eats if they know these things would happen!! Customer service agent hangs up on me upon asking for a supervisor.
The amount of the cancellation fee should be refunded.. right now it’s not about the amount. It’s about hearing out the customer for their specific issue and not just giving a random script!
