Uber Eats complaint: Sephora same day delivery canceled

My complaint:

I ordered a product on the Sephora app, and I chose same day delivery. I was completely unaware that Sephora works through Uber eats when it came to this particular delivery. No one informed me about this information.
I went to the Sephora app to check on the status of my product and clicked on the tracking link, and was surprised to be sent to the Uber Eats site and it told me my order was canceled.
No one informed me that it was canceled, no one offered to give me a refund, no one gave me a reason why it was canceled. I had to go into the Sephora app and talk with customer service and ask for a refund even though I didn’t want a refund. I paid for my product and I still wanted it.
I do not think it is fair that your delivery drivers can just cancel orders whenever they want and still charge people for it.

Suggested solution:

I’m not sure how you handle deliveries, but if the driver somehow can’t deliver it, that shouldn’t mean the customer shouldn’t receive their product at all. They should be informed about it, and offer another delivery person to get it, or immediately give us a refund or something. I just don’t like how I was completely unaware that Uber eats was delivering my product and then they just canceled it for no reason and still charged me.

This just happened to me! Exactly the same! It’s absurd that Sephora is partnering with Uber.
