My complaint:

I bought a mastercard worth 100 on Thur March 28th, went home and tried giving the numbers to my daughter who I was buying it for! She called me back to say it didn’t work. I called the number on the back and mastercard informed me the card was not activated at the cash! I was told to take it back and have them issue a new card or give me a refund. When I went back with all receipts shoppers manager told me to take it up with head office, well I was on the phone with mastercard and they said tell them no the situation isn’t where a card was activated then something went wrong, the cashier did not activate it! Manager refused to hear me out and would not talk to mastercard! That was Thursday and now it’s Sunday, I’m a single mom who bought the card for my daughter who’s in Edmonton, they did not care that this situation was going to leave me with no way to help my daughter get food, I didn’t have the money to buy another. Shoppers said they couldn’t give me a activated card or my money back but they could give me a shoppers gift card, well unfortunately that wasn’t going to help my daughter! I feel like I’ve been ignored, and to be honest I feel I was robbed by cashier! She took my money and I got nothing! I can’t get anyone to help me, mastercard said they can’t activate from their end, shoppers said deal with head office and head office just ignores me! Plz help

I absolutely want my money back because I’ll never buy anything from there again! So full refund so I can buy my daughter another card from a business that stands behind what they sell
