My complaint:
I was told by staff (Cybil) I am evicted because I allow male to enter the facility, by the way I don’t do at all. One occasion a fellow at the door said he was a resident walk in as I was walking out to smoke I came back to my room by that time someone was at the desk, about 10 minutes later a resident came to my room with staff member, yelling a man was standing over her and I did nothing about it. According to the other residents this is the second time that happened to her n I wasn’t present here than the first time it happens. And as for me it shouldn’t happen at all, I do take in consideration of other safety as well as my own. Also I was told I couldn’t have outside food in here which result to another write up. And I am like okay I will get rid of the food only to walk in my room and see shelf full of outside food. Than I was told by another staff when u go out to smoke put a paper in the door because she was stepping away from the desk, I did as was told. The other staff said don’t put paper in the door go to the back of the building and smoke. When I told him what the lady at the desk said he put the paper back and just don’t do it again and smoke in the back. The staff member Cybil said differently, she said if we catch you in the back smoking you are out of here We have a 0 tolerance policy. I said okay however your staff told me something different. So I told myself let me file a complaint before something else happen and it is beyond my control due to the fact I am only going by what the staff say and is it only four days out of the three month since I been here.
Suggested solution:
Just read and take in consideration that I did file a complaint. Just in case I get wrote up again by listen to a staff member that not on one accord with the other staff and evicted before my ninety day are up in the process of finding a home outside the shelter. And thank for file a complaint website.
