Subway complaint: SO FRUSTRATED!!!

My complaint:

I wanted to order on the app, but there were two major problems: 1. the app kept telling me they were closed and it was noon. and 2. there is no button on the app for building your own sandwich. Everyone wanted something different and none of the sandwiches listed was right for what was wanted. So, I decided to call in the order. I tried calling for 45 minutes and continued to get a message saying they were busy and I should try later. I am at work. I needed to be able to order ahead because theres no time for me to run across town and stand in line and run back across town to my office! Seeing no other choices but to go somewhere else and spend my money or make the trip out, I chose to drive over there. What a mistake! 5 people working at the counter. They were tripping over each other for gosh sakes. I know they were training one person, and I understand about that. We all went thru it ourselves somewhere along the line in our lives. But it was mass confusion. When I got there I told them about the phone. they said the internet had been bad the past few days so the phone wasnt working. Really? shouldnt that have been dealt with the day it started happening? Or is Subway doing such a fantastic business that it doesnt matter that the phone AND the app arent working but they dont bother to let the internet provider know? Thats preposterous! So, I waited in line got the first sandwich and they saw my debit card and said, Oh, by the way, our card reader inst working either. We can only take cash. Information I could have used 20 minutes before they told me! WHY ARENT THEY POSTING THIS ON THE DOORS OR SOMETHING?? Not everyone carries cash now. I think MOST people use cards instead. This restaurant is losing money all over the place! Finally, I got back with cash and put my orders in. The last sandwich was for me. They made it well and moved to the end of the counter to wrap it. What they did then disgusted me. They took my sandwich OFF the paper and laid it on the dirty counter! I could NOT believe that! With all the worry about cleanliness and social distancing and COVID??? When I told them that was absolutely gross, they said, Dont worry ma’am.We’re always wiping off the counter. Funny, because I watched them make half a dozen sandwiches before mine and NOT ONCE was it wiped. And NOT ONCE did they change gloves between customers. I paid for my sandwiches because I had already wasted over 30 minutes trying to get them. I left the Subway, got into my car and left. By the time I got back to the office I was so disgusted with the whole thing that I thru my sandwich in the garbage. One other person did the same. What a WASTE of time and money. Dont think I’ll ever go back to that Subway again. They would have remade the sandwich, but I had NO MORE TIME to stand there and wait. So I dropped $25 on sandwiches that only 1 person chose to eat. NEVER AGAIN! Fix this damn place before the state see’s what a poor job theyre doing!

I think we should ALL get another sandwich - FREE.
