My complaint:

On 7th April 2022, one of my customer paid $1900 against the Web Design Professional Services through Stripe Merchant. Stripe holds that payment for early fraud reasons and paused my Payments and Payout Feature afterwards.

The services was given to Customer within the agreed time and we delivered the Order to customer. So, customer was not liable for any other payment as the customer already paid us through Stripe on 07 April 2022, which was held for further review.

The customer never disputed this transaction of $1900 with Stripe nor with Bank or Credit Card Company during the period of last 21 months because Customer already received what the Customer paid for. Our company has no issues with the Customer at any point but We were having issues with Stripe Company.

On 14 April 2022, Stripe support told us that the transaction was unauthorized and they will Refund the payment to the Card Holder or Bank after 5 Days but they never Refund on that time nor they payout to our Business Account. They processed the payment and keep the payment with them. Also paused our Payment and Payout Feature.

Payouts feature keep showing that the expected Payout will be next day but they never released it to my Linked Business account.

When Stripe did not received any Disputes on this transaction in first 45 and 90 days. They did not bother to transfer the funds to Linked Business Accounts nor Refund back but they held and keep the funds with them.

Afterwards, I got busy in my own things and work instead of wasting my Time. Now after 21 months, I checked again my Stripe account on 04 Jan 2024 to see whether the case was resolved or what was the outcome. I came to know that Funds are still there and my expected Payout will be on 05 Jan 2024 and next day it changed to 08 Jan 2024.

I decided to contact the Stripe support and accounts departement to release my Funds because its been 21 months now. But they told me the same things which they told me on April 2022 that the transaction was unauthorized and we will refund the payment to card holder in next 5 days instead of releasing funds to my linked business account. I get fed up of listening same old story from them and decided to complain against them.

Why they keep the $1900 funds with them from last 21 months if the transaction was unauthorized ? Why Stripe did not release the Payout after first 90 days when there was no dispute reported from Card Holder side ? Why Stripe used this money for 21 months in the name of refunding back in 5 Days ?

I have lot more to say on this matter but cut to the short is that I want my $1900 back from Stripe and they suppose to Payout to my Linked Business Account. Why Stripe want to Refund the card holder now after 21 months when there was no dispute reported on this transaction ?

I am attaching the screenshots of my Stripe Dashbord regarding the Payment, Balance and Payout for your information and reference with this Complain against Stripe.

Also I am attaching the screenshots of email communication I had with them in last 3 days for your information and reference.

Finally, I request you to investigate this case with Stripe and resolve the Payout issue. Why would I refund to the customer back when Services already given to them ? Thats my funds which Stripe held from long period of time. It should be payout to my Linked Business account as soon as possible.
