My complaint:
I went to our local Stop Shop today to get stew meat for a German goulash. The stew meat they were displaying was cut to the size of sugar cubes. When I got the fellow behind the counter he explained they no longer butcher meat in store. Everything comes in prepackaged now. He said he could cut up a steak for me, but he would have to charge me the steak price and not stew meat price. This was the only butcher in our town, and we have lost the ability to order what we need. The store manager told me that this is becoming industry standard. You know what Stop Shop? Successful stores try to go beyond industry standard. After 14 years, our family will be shopping Big Y and Adams for our future needs.
