We are frequent shoppers at Sprouts and have never had an experience like today. Frank the cashier was incredibly rude during checkout. We did not prefer plastic bags and asked if they had paper. Which Frank answer no we haven’t for months and laughed. I responded and said oh no! We were here the week of thanksgiving and received paper bags. I then hurried to my car to grab my reusable bags. While I was grabbing the bags. Frank completely stopped ringing up items. Because of the already apparent lack of customer service from Frank we placed out items that had been rung up back in the cart to get them out of his way. Once doing so he stopped again and said don’t you want a plastic bag for those. We responded no it was okay. And he then continued to place his opinion onto us saying that it was unsanitary of us to do use a bag. While we bagged our own items, he stopped ringing up the rest of the items to stop and stare to watch what we were doing. When I mentioned we were in a rush, he got an attitude and was rude! He asked us a question about finding everything okay, my boyfriend answered him and said politely “yes we did thank you.” Frank looked up at me and said “hello??” Very rudely and aggressively persisting that I answer his question. At the end of check out we asked to split the tender and gave him the amount which from his expression was apparently wrong of us to ask. He made other comments that were uncalled for and unacceptable. He was very rude, unprofessional, and made our experience horrible!! I do not complain often. Actually rarely ever but this was not an experience we could just merely let go. This experience makes me not want to go back in changes that Frank could be our cashier again.

Suggested solution:

Possibly evaluating Frank’s costumer service. Additionally training might be helpful. A form of compensation would be appreciated being that this was a completely avoidable experience and we’ve always been avid supporters and shoppers at sprouts.
