Subject:Complaint Regarding Severe Delay of SpiceJet Flight SG163 (Srinagar to Delhi) on April 15th
Dear SpiceJet Customer Care Team,
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the excessive delay of SpiceJet Flight SG163 scheduled to depart from Srinagar (SXR) to Delhi (DEL) on April 15, 2024. The flight, originally slated for 6:40 AM, was delayed by three hours, departing only at 9:40 AM, causing immense inconvenience, stress, and hardship—especially for my elderly mother, who was traveling with me.
Key Issues Faced Due to the Delay:
1. Severe Stress for Elderly Passenger: My mother, who is a senior citizen, endured unnecessary physical and mental strain due to the prolonged wait at the airport. The lack of timely updates or assistance for elderly passengers added to her discomfort.
2. Missed Connections/Plans: The delay disrupted our onward in Delhi, leading to additional expenses and logistical challenges.
3. Poor Communication and alternate measures: Despite the significant delay, SpiceJet failed to provide clear, proactive communication about the reason for the delay or compensation options, leaving passengers uninformed and anxious.
Expectations:
– A detailed explanation for the delay and steps SpiceJet will take to prevent such incidents in the future.
– Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused, as per DGCA guidelines (e.g., refund, voucher, or monetary compensation for the delay).
– Assurance that elderly passengers and those with special needs receive priority assistance during disruptions.
This experience has severely impacted our trust in SpiceJet’s service standards. I request an urgent resolution and response immediately . Please acknowledge this complaint and provide a resolution at the earliest.
