My complaint:
Estimated wait times are a factor in choosing which restaurant to order from. Choosing a restaurant with a 20-30 minute wait time and then getting a pop up that your order will take over an hour is not okay- not because restaurants and drivers don’t get busy, but because they do not give you an option to cancel your order after being told this new information. There should be an option for a customer to cancel their order at the time that a pop up saying there will be an unusually long wait happens. Now I’m forced to wait an hour because I can’t cancel my order after the restaurant has ed it… the pop up happens immediately after ation. It isn’t unreasonable for customers to want the option to choose another restaurant if the one they’ve ordered from is going to be more than twice the wait they said they would be.
Very displeased with this part of the system it is very much fucking me and my kids over tonight. It’s so shady to only tell your customers after they can’t change their order that they will have to wait extra extra long.
Suggested solution:
Literally they should make an option to cancel the order at the time that the pop up saying it will take an extra long time comes up. It's a simple as having a cancel option next to the okay button. l
