My complaint:
I am a 35 year old female who has 4 children recently out of a 15 year relationship my job has been a homemaker for years with little jobs here and there to pick up the slack when needed. In july 2019 i seperated and became a single mother holding a job at a supermarket and that was not enough to hold down my home so i went searching for factory work. I worked at cardington yutaka technologies for 1.5 months before i had a accident that required surgery. Being a temporary employee they can not hold my position for 8 weeks so once i got my clear to work again i applied at anderson windows silverline windows. Got a interview same day and time as my friend . The woman who interviewed me basically took five mins. With her ending it with we will access the other applicants and call for drug screening . all the while she sat with the welcome pages under my application. And assumed i was a drug user and made sure to mention if i was selected i would be called for a drug screen knowing that i was not excepted . i have never failed a drug test nor have i ever been in trouble for drugs . and i felt she judged me by my mom look and lack of job experience. I felt discriminated against…
Suggested solution:
I would like to have these employers that homemakers are normal ppl who would like to work as well .im not looking for a hand out im willing to work and i would like equal opportunities as well as the high school student you just hired with no life experiences.
