My complaint:

This evening my husband and I bought a bottle of organic milk at the The Shoprite in New Paltz, New York. I opened it at home and it was SPOILED. I returned to Shoprite to returned the spoiled milk. I asked that I pay the same amount for another bottle of organic milk of a different brand which cost slightly more and I asked that I be able to pay the same amount as for the spoiled milk. The manager said I should buy the same brand because they sell so much milk, it probably wouldn’t be spoiled, and she laughed in my face. Then she said she would do it and began to lecture me like a child saying she wouldn’t do it for me next time. She was dismissive and insulting in her attitude when she should have been apologetic … her company sold SPOILED MILK; it wasn’t me who was at fault. I’m a 70 year old woman who has been shopping at this store for 30 years. I do not need to be talked to like this. I am sorry I did not get the name of your employee so you could explain to her that she needs to change her behavior, but she was the manager around 7:PM Friday 2/23/2024 at the New Paltz Shoprite. I hope I am satisfied with your response and do not have to switch to shopping at the local TOPS.

Suggested solution:

They should speak to their employee about her attitude and behavior. I would like to know her name and response to them as well so I can be satisfied that my complaint met with a result.
