My complaint:

I had canceled my trial subscription in June 2019. Also received an email from Shaw Academy ing the cancellation. However 8 months after cancelation, my credit card has been charged again by them for no reason. I haven’t reinstated my account or subscribed again.

This transaction is unauthorized and fraudulent. Despite canceling the subscription, they have stored my credit card information illegally and charged me.

The customer support executive Norman, keeps telling me that they cannot make a refund because the account wasn’t canceled in time. And that’s surely not the case. There has to be some legal authority who can take stern action against this company.

Suggested solution:

To resolve my complaint, Shaw Academy must refund the amount they have charged on my card, without authorization.

There are many similar complaints and it seems like this company is benefitting from the fact that no-one can take an action against them. At least that's what it seems like. There's a loophole in the system and it's being exploited.
