My complaint:
Like so many other, Shaw Academy suckered me into a 4 week free trial, but then took money from my account for ‘course materials’. I cancelled everything immediately, and called and emailed Shaw Academy to refute this unauthorised payment and to ask for the return of the money thet took. I never bought course materials – why would I pay £50 for materials for what i thought was a free trial before I’d even started the trial? Of course, they refuse to refund, claiming that I bought the course materials and they are non refundable. This company should be banned from conducting business – they are crooks.
Suggested solution:
Return the money. I have also asked for them to my cancellation has been processed, as I dont trust them and want evidence by email that they acknowledge my cancellation and wont charge me anything further. Despite several emails, they have refused to return the money or to my cancellation has been processed.
