My complaint:
I signed up for a membership with shaw academy because I wanted to take a psychology course. When I saw that it wasn’t to my liking, I called to cancel my membership. I didn’t understand why they want you to call to cancel a membership when you should be able to do it online. I talked to a guy named Roberto and I told him that I wanted my membership canceled. He said okay and that he’ll give me a free toolkit. Honestly I didn’t care about the toolkit, I just wanted my account canceled. Fast forward to February 20th, they charged my bank 70 dollars and when I tried calling them, they were closed. I emailed them and Mason had responded saying that due to the terms and conditions I can’t get my money back and how he can give me 12 more months. Who would want 12 more months when they took money out of my account without permission? I told Mason I wanted to talk to someone else and he stopped replying. I tried calling the cancellation number to see if I could talk to someone and they made it automatic voice. Meaning that you will not get to talk to someone and the only thing it says is that would you like to cancel your account. Press any key and once you do, they’ll send you a ation email that you’ll never get. Recently miles just wrote me and lied saying I clicked a link to reactivate my account or a button which wasn’t true! This has turned out to be a tiresome nightmare. I encourage people to not sign up with shaw academy and to research. I have even emailed the founder and they haven’t done anything about this. Like this is sickening to my stomach to lie on someone and take their money! All so you can continue scamming people!
Suggested solution:
By giving me and everyone else their money back! Stop scamming people and charging their card when they didn’t authorize it. Just because your business isn’t flourishing, doesn’t mean you just take money from people! And not to mention that you lie and say people didn’t cancel their membership when I did. And let me add that y’all make it hard to cancel so y’all can get y’all money. That’s why y’all make it so you can’t take your card off or that your customer service can try bribing someone! Y’all are evil!
