Shaw Academy complaint: Dishonest Merchant Still Charging me for A Cancelled Subscription

My complaint:

I have already asked Shaw Academy to cancel my subscription last November 2020.

This is their answer. As a goodwill gesture, we have waived off the remaining amount. Please be assured that you will not be charged for any service until your click to purchase or reactivate. (See image 1.)

However, upon checking my credit card transaction, they have automatically charged me again for the month of January 2021. Even if my account subscription with them says it’s already Cancelled.

I couldn’t erase my credit card details. They just cancelled my account even if I already asked my account to be deactivated. Looks like they still have my credit info because Shaw charges from my bank automatically.

And this is the 2nd time this happened. I find it frustrating. They are scammers, very dishonest merchant.

Suggested solution:

1. Erase my credit card info in their system so it won't automatically charge from my bank account.
2. Deactivate my account.
3. I want a refund.
