My complaint:

Had a knee replacement surgery scheduled in December of 2019. A week prior to my surgery I went into St. Alphonsus urgent care on a Saturday for a very sore throat. They did a throat culture and later told me I had a staph infection..
I called my surgeon that was to do my surgery and he canceled my surgery telling me that they would not do surgery if I had any sort of infection. St Alphonsus called me a few days later to tell me that they made a mistake and that I did not have any type of staph infection or an infection at all!! I called my surgeon back to reschedule my surgery and they did not have any openings Until 2020..
I had my deductible met for the year 2019 and to have the surgery in 2020 would cost me $7000 to meet my deductible again.. this whole matter is that our family out of pocket deductible had been met for 2019 and having to start over in 2020 would cost $7000, As is stands I cannot afford to get the surgery and it is causing me to not be able to work Due to the pain in my knees.
I’m hoping you guys will call me so that I can give you more details…all information is documented. St. Alphonsus is not denying this matter.

Suggested solution:

I believe St. Alphonsus should provide me with my surgery at their hospital and pay my deductible portion that my insurance, cigna will not.
The company, St Alphonsus sent me a letter apologizing and telling me that the matter is closed and that they will do nothing to help me financially.
