My complaint:

I called your hotel through Hotel Planners. My wife was in the hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. I booked two reservations one for the 29th, then two for the 30th and 31st. I explained to the Hotel Planners rep that I wasn’t sure if my wife would be at the hospital until the 30th or whether or not she might have to stay until August 1st. The rep said book two reservations, if she gets out on the 30th, call back to cancel the other two nights. I did as he said. The hotel clerk gave me the number to call to cancel the two extra nights. The Hotel Planners said I would be credited. After three weeks ,no refund, I called Hotel Planners back. Explained everything. The rep said she would call the hotel right there and then to explain the situation. She came back on the line and said it was not the hotels policy to credit a guests stay if they were leaving earlier than expected. Each night was $138 or $276. I feel I’ve been taken advantage of…twice. Hotel Planners should have had that information on their screen and Radisson wouldn’t budge on a refund. Look, I would like to do business with you again as we travel. However, if this how you treat your guests, why should we? One last thought. When I was at the hospital, I was given a list of hotels that offered discounts to people whose loved ones were in the University of Iowa Hospital and Clincs. I showed the manager the sheet and he wouldn’t accept even that! So, how do you think we feel at this point? Angry, taken advantage of and with no recourse.

Suggested solution:

All I want is to get the two nights credit for not staying at the Radisson. The fact that the manager wouldn\'t even give me a discount is insulting in itself. I had the proof in my hand and he just waived it off. I don\'t recall exactly how much it was, I want to say $78 instead of $138, but I\'m not sure and I am not the kind of person who believes in misleading people. I\'d like to think Radisson Hotels doesn\'t either. Can you PLEASE help me with this?
