My complaint:
On 2 separate occasions my mortgage payment has not been posted to my account. Both times the payment was mailed at least 2 weeks before the due date. On one occasion the payment was located and deposited after I had already made another payment to cover it. The most recent occurrence resulted in my having to stop payment on the check after it remained missing for one and a half months. These payments were mailed from the post office with other payments which reached their destination without incident. I will have to pay a service fee for the stop payment order.
Suggested solution:
PNC should review their accounts receivable department. I have read other reviews describing the exact same issue. Also, when a customer has to visit a local branch to make a payment, the employees there could be more pleasant and even apologetic.
