My complaint:

I filed a claim with NTA Life in November 2019 with my policy, because I was off sick 6 weeks, due to having a bipolar episode in September 2019. I turned in what was asked for the claim forms, a additional written letter from my doctor and a hospital bill. Probably have more. Well the company kept acting like I didn’t turn in require information asked for in the claim. When calling them several times. They kept saying I need your doctor details on the form and then on another call I got well we need our form with the claim. But my job had to send it over. And they did already I talked to HR Payroll already. When I spoke to a supervisor on this past, Friday January 10, 2020. She informed me of the same thing we need additional information, but stated we have the items asked for on file. She mentioned get a detailed hospital bill to turn in. I said madam I already ran around to give this additional doctor statement and if I take the time off my job to get that detailed hospital bill sent to me or I pick up. Something tells me it’s going to be something else. You all want turned in, like I’m lying or the doctor lying. My doctor not going to lose her job for me for a simple insurance claim. Then I told the supervisor, it seems to me that this company just wants to take and collect people money monthly but don’t want to pay up when it’s time to pay claims out for sickness or health issues an individual occurs. No one wants to get sick and be off work, but things happens beyond out control. That’s why you purchase insurance for, as a precaution. Then, when I said I want to cancel this policy. The supervisor stated it’s already been canceled due to nonpayment in October 16. Yes dear I didn’t have any real check for being off sick and not having any major time built up, due to not working at my job but 3 years. So you want me to pay to reinstate a policy you not going to pay out any funds. No way, no how.

Suggested solution:

I think the company should pay out my claim, because I was off sick and have hospital bill to prove it. I can simply sign off on an authorization for the hospital to release a detailed statement to them only. Anytime else violates my privacy rights as an individual.
