My complaint:
On September 14/2023 I Maria Ledo was stopped by Crime Pervention Office before reaching through cashier was asked by the officer to come with him to the rear of store there he said I was stealing I never left the store let alone reaching the cashier ,he then told me he wanted for me to pay $150.00 not return to the store I only had $20.00 at that my boyfriend was calling my cell phone the crime prevention officer answered my phone without asking me he spoke to my boyfriend .
Now this officer told me that I must leave cell phone with him to see if I’m able to get $150.00 truly I thought it was strange for him to do so , now I did once getting home I was advised by counsel this isn’t the criteria of No Frills as I was not even out the door never the cashier where I didn’t so therefore how could I be stealing products . This happened at around in between 6:30 pm 7pm . I’ve talked to someone from head office jer name is Ann she agreed was very versatile apologetic in regards to phone being taken from hi, threats that if I didn’t come up with $150.00 he would call police ,well that hasn’t happened my phone hasn’t been returned.
I’ve had MS for 24 years now all my appointments are on my phone i’ve missed a lot in a week that this officer has held my phone now i want something done about it if i stole something why did he release me but take my phone doesn’t make any sense something must be done because i do believe Officer was is not following his procedures at all and taking someone’s phone isn’t a procedure he’s had it for a week without any contact from him he never gave his name or card to reach him so please have someone look into this as I need my phone it’s a must.

I 3ant an apology something done with this prevention Officer refunded for none use of my personal cell phone.
