My complaint:
My Netflix account was clsoed October 2020
My bank card has been used for a completely new account which Netflix has excepted had nothing to do with me ( I have not given anyone consent nor have I set this up ) Netflix refunded me 9.99 ( even though money has been taken since February 2021) I had recently suffered with very bad post natal depression after the birth off my child which made me neglect most things and my finances was one off them
My partner decided to sit down with me on Friday and help me with expenses and work out my money – this is when we noticed the Netflix subscription
Netflix has recogised this account is not mine and refunded me for 1 month only as the rest off the months it was wAtched ( how is this fair that they admitted it’s not my Netflix account but because the person had been watching it I don’t get refunded for the other months )
My bank has said I can start a procedure with them but it is taking up to 48 days to investigate and they recommended me applying for the refund funny through Netflix
Which Netflix are refusing , the call handler for Netflix also refused me to talk to a manager or supervision and refused to put me through to someone who would deal with my complaint
Suggested solution:
They need to do more checks
If the name off the Netflix holder doesn't match the card holders name
If there is more than one account with them bank details ect
If they can except liability why can't they refund me the full amount
How can Netflix say it's not me using the account they'll refund me for 1 month but because the account has been watched the other !months they can't refund me
So because the person who frauded me watched it I can't have my money back ??
