My complaint:
I was watching my favorite (formerly favorite) show, Dateline, last night (January 13, 2023). It concerned the murders in Idaho, and I wanted to see what was new in that case. The next thing I knew there was an ad for a new substance that is to be used prior to sexual activity to control AIDS, complete with several men looking at each other lustily. This was not a late night show; it was what I consider prime time, meaning that families with children were probably watching. Is there nothing worth watching anymore that isn’t offensive? I am so disappointed in NBC for putting that ad on the air. I would be surprised if this is the only e-mail you receive on the subject.
Suggested solution:
Make X-rated ads not a part of prime time television shows.
