Hi, I received a complaint by Christopher Hall an inmate at Georgetown Correctional Facility via-Phone. The complaint was that he was placed in a holding cell at the facility where there were no cameras to record any incident that may occur inside the holding cell. He stated contraband was placed inside the cell before he (Christopher Hall) was placed by the correctional officers. Later a group of correctional officers came in and searched the cell stating they found contraband on the floor and his person. He also stated no handheld camera was utilized to record the incident to clarify the contraband that was found was (his). I do suspect employee misconduct, false documentation and abuse of their authority is being used at this time. He (C. Hall) stated this is his first disciplinary report (RVR) written on him and he is just trying to do his time and go home. In the past he has request for transfer to Hancock County. Is there any way this matter can be investigated without retaliation against (C. Hall) for reporting employee misconduct?
On today 7-12-22 I Mr. Hall received a phone call from family that inmate Christopher Hall will be transported to Parchman Prison facility for reason at all. I do suspect retaliation against inmate Christopher Hall because of him reporting employee misconduct. Several people have been informed about this matter and it’s has continued to be unresolved. If the death of this inmate C. Hall happens cause of employee misconduct further action will be taken.
Suggested solution:
All I want is a proper investigation and for him not to be transfer to Parchman Correctional Facility. How can you find someone guilty if you don't have proper evidence, with no camera utilized to record incident? Why was he moved to a hold cell in the beginning? How can you transfer someone who hasn't been a threat to the Facility?
