My complaint:
I am filing a major complaint for discrimination against Instagram/Meta.
My account has been subjected to significant restrictions. When I try to access my account via URL, a warning message pops up stating, We received a legal request to restrict this content. We reviewed it against our policies and conducted a human rights assessment. After the review, we restricted access to the content that goes against local laws.
This happened without my knowledge, and I was not given any prior warning. If I have indeed violated any laws, I believe it is my right to be informed. However, I can assure you that I have not broken any laws in any way, shape, or form. Moreover, I have applied for a green card in America and have successfully obtained approval, which involves thorough background checks. If I had any criminal charges, I would not have been granted a green card.
Furthermore, I am currently unable to monetize my account due to restrictions that incorrectly state that I reside in a country ineligible for monetization. However, I am a resident of America, and there seems to be no way to rectify this issue.
In addition, almost every time I post an image, it is flagged as sexual, despite the fact that it contains no explicit content. I am fully clothed in all my posts. I have appealed this numerous times, but no action has been taken. Strangely, I often come across Instagram creators who wear completely sheer tops that leave nothing to the imagination, including their nipples. When I report such content, it is never taken down.
My account has been shadowbanned for several years now, and I have not experienced any growth since 2015. In fact, I lose followers on a daily basis. This discourages me from contributing or creating content on this platform. Unfortunately, Instagram has become crucial for my job as an entertainer, and the heavy restrictions on my account have caused me to miss out on numerous opportunities. What concerns me the most is that I am no longer able to link to my profile, which gives the impression that I have violated some law, tarnishing my reputation and making it difficult to secure sponsorships or brand deals.
I have made multiple attempts to contact Instagram, both through the platform and via their support email, but I have never received a response, and my account remains banned. I have made these efforts practically on a daily basis, investing a significant amount of time, energy, and stress into resolving this situation. I even tried opening a new account and starting from scratch, but it was restricted, claiming that my bio contained sexual content, even though it did not.

Today, I received a notification stating that I was eligible for Meta-verified status, so I proceeded to pay for it, hoping to receive genuine support from a human representative. However, after making the payment and having it accepted, I encountered a blank screen on the next step, preventing me from submitting my ID for verification. This situation feels like a case of money being taken without providing the promised service.
Ultimately, if I have indeed violated any laws, I strongly believe that I deserve to know which specific law I have broken. However, I can assure you that I have not engaged in any unlawful activities. It is evident that I am being unfairly targeted, and this unfair treatment is adversely affecting both my income and my mental health.
Suggested solution:
By removing the false restrictions on my account because I do follow the guidelines. If I had broken any rules in the past, I surely have not done that again and have corrected my mistakes. I have not broken any laws and if I have, I deserve to know which ones I have broken. This is damaging to my reputation and my mental health. I would like my account restored to full functions so that I can monetize and be verified by meta-and have the opportunity to grow like my peers.
