Complaint: Numerous Occasions of Food Ordered and Paid For But Not Provided

My complaint:

I am typing this complaint to you from sheer frustration!!!

I have over the past number of months ordered food from McDonald’s, Sligo as my nearest location. On a large number of occasions the order I received has had incorrect drinks provided to us (which I was willing to let pass) but items of food that we had ordered and had paid for were missing from our order on a number of occasions. I live approximately 25 minutes from my nearest McDonald’s so it wasn’t feasible for me to be going back to look for items missing from my order but paid for. Please bear in mind that there is rarely an order from me for my family that doesn’t cost somewhere between €50 and€70. This money is hard earned and I don’t want to be paying it out and not receiving my full order.

The final straw was when my husband and I had to take our daughter for a serious medical appointment (a two and a half hour appointment) for a review following matters arising from serious mental health illness. On the way home we stopped and placed an order for takeaway in McDonald’s Sligo. We also ordered food for our other 2 children. We drove home and were looking forward to eating our food. We were ravenous as we had not eaten since leaving home that morning to find that yet again part of the food which was ordered and paid for was missing from our order. Our order came to a total of €50.90. Between hunger and absolute frustration I cried.

I am requesting that you please don’t take this matter lightly and impress upon all of your staff who are packing food for loyal paying customers like ourselves that they need to do their job correctly and make sure that what an individual has ordered and paid for is provided to them.

I am also requesting a goodwill gesture be provided from McDonald's to us as this is totally unsatisfactory and is not a once of event.
