My complaint:
Hello,
On 11 November 2024 I parked in the small multi-storey car park and saw the Lidl sign by the ticket pay machine saying:
2 hours free parking when you spend £10 at Lidl Boscombe
I relied on this offer and bought a 2 hour parking ticket for the £1.70 fee. Subsequently, I shopped in Lidl and selected £12.20 worth of groceries.
I asked the self service tills assistant to reimburse my £1.70 for 2 hours and she took my parking ticket. Only £1.51 was credited as a parking voucher. When I queried this with the assistant she said ‘we only refund that (ie £1.51). If you want, you can take it up with customer services.’
So I write to ask that you refund me the additional £19p that I am entitled to according to your own notice next to the pay machine and on the back of the car park tickets.
Please can you also that your Boscombe store will either refund the £1.70 for 2 hours fee to all customers in future, or alternatively correct the Lidl signs by the parking fee machines and on the back of each parking ticket. To do otherwise is just to continue to mislead Lidl customers.
Thank you.

Suggested solution:
I am asking Lidl to:
- refund me the 19p I was under reimbursed
- correct the payment machines in its Boscombe store to reimburse customer £1.70 for 2 hours parking in the little multi storey car park
OR
- correct the Lidl signs by the car park pay machines, and on the back of the car park tickets, to show only £1.51 will be reimbursed (instead of the £1.70 that entices shoppers to buy in Lidl).
Thank you.
