My complaint:

I have a 78 year old father. I was able to sign him up for the Jewel app. He is unable to leave his home, so I do the shopping for him. He wanted the Polar Seltzer advertised for 1.99 (limit 5) valid thru 91421. I could not find it anywhere on his phone, nor could my neighbor find it on her phone. I visited the store last night, spoke with the store manager, Avery, who said I’ll need to see the phone, I cannot give you the price of $1.99 without seeing the phone!. I said I looked throughout the whole app, and short of me bringing him to the store, I cannot leave him without a phone as that is his only means of communication and God forbid, he needs to call 911. He said, Sorry, I cannot give you the deal. He obviously didn’t believe me, the daughter, that I tried looking for the deal on his phone. Here is Avery’s response to me after I told him I would be contacting Customer Service Ok, you do that and have a good night! THAT IS HOW A MANAGER TREATS A CUSTOMER???? When I visit Marianos and an elderly customer cannot find it on their phone, or maybe doesn’t even have a phone or computer, Marianos gives the sale price to the customer because THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Avery, being the MANAGER, has the capability to correct the situation and override it to the $1.99….is that $1.99 coming out of his pocket? He doesn’t care that he just lost a customer???

Suggested solution:

Make the senior citizen happy with Jewel accomodate them with overriding the price to $1.99
